Scarlett & Jo

I was recently contacted by Scarlett & Jo to ask if I would be interested trying some of their new dresses from their summer range!

The first dress is a gorgeous red dress with lace detail down the front.

When I first saw the dress, I wasn't sure if it would suit me as it is not my usual style, but after trying it on, I love the dress and how it is cut to nip in at the waist. Not to mention the colour, it's awesome!

I received a size 22. The dress is true to size and is not too clingy, there is also a sewn-in petticoat which creates a smooth silhouette. The sleeves are not too tight but I feel they could've been a little longer, although at 5'3 this may have been an issue!

The lace detail is adorable! I didn't want to add any accessories to it as I wanted the lace to be the main focus. I am wearing it with some cute mary-janes I brought from Topshop a few years back.

This dress would be perfect for parties and would also work great with tights in the colder months.

The second dress is a blue dress style tunic. This piece is very comfortable and would work great for a BBQ or wedding, or with leggings and sandals. The colour is a bright blue, the picture does not do it justice!

Again I received a size 22 which actually came out a little loose, so if you want a tight dress size down and vice versa!

The material is very light which means you won't overheat when cutting shapes on the dance-floor! The sleeves also provide great coverage without being tight.

The detail on the dress is very cute.

Both dresses will be available in June from www.evans.co.uk.

Flash The Flesh!

Hello out there!

When a group of bloggers join together for a chat you know that the final result has to be super!! And so this happened once more when, not long ago, we were talking about our preferences between mini and maxi and Becky of doesmyblogmakemelookfat.com  thought that it would be great to create a challenge which goal was to show a little bit more skin and our body (but with style and no vulgarity) showing proudly our curves. And so it was born “Flash the Flesh”.

When the idea came about I instantly knew which part of my body I wanted to flash...

Top: Dress from ASOS
Maxi skirt: ASOS Curve
Gold chain: no clue!

Instead of using a crop top, I decided to take a simple black dress and turn it into a crop top with some pizazz at the back.

I love the fact that I am covered up everywhere else but the one place I constantly try to cover up.

Magnificent 7 does Floral

Hello out there!

I have been very lucky to join a group of ladies for my first style challenge, the magnificent 7!

To give you a brief introduction, on the 7th of every month the ladies and I will post an outfit based on a different theme.

The aim of the challenge is to shop our wardrobes and dig deep into the depths to create outfits we probably wouldn't have thought of before!

This month's theme is floral, and I knew exactly what I was going to wear. I brought a gorgeous skirt from ASOS maternity a year (!) ago and promised myself that when the weather picked up I would air it out and show it to the world!

The reason I brought the maternity version is because the Curve skirts had sold out and I find, if something is sold out in curve, it will most definitely be in maternity! But I would say that if you decide to buy maternity, size down.

I teamed it with my fav denim shirt and a collar clip which I brought from Select and went with my simple converse for a comfy look.

The ladies and I will be posting on the 7th of each month, and the aim of the challenge is to create an outfit to fit the theme, using clothes from our wardrobes, and yes that does mean digging deep into the depths and finding those long lost clothes! Hopefully one of us won’t end up in Narnia, but you never know with a bloggers wardrobe!
